For me it's pretty straight forward

Would I marry a niqabi? NO

Image

Would I marry a hijabi? YES

Image

Would I marry someone who dressed casually like this? YES

Image

Would I marry someone who dress like this? HELL NO

Wow, some serious generalizations being made on both sides. Hijaab is a peice of clothing, doesn't guarantee perfect Muslimah nor does the absence of it imply a lacking in scruples. We're all tested in different ways, the hijaab is a shared struggle between many sisters, including whether to hijaab or not and how to exactly. I think some of you fellas should be a little more considerate with your comments.

It isn't a determining factor but I would like to know why she wears or does not a hijab. A large part of whether or not I would marry a sister would be from that answer.

It's not smart or realistic to get with someone thinking they'll change, go for a hijabi from the beginning if that's your preference.

Lillaahiya wrote:Naw, I think Jasmine is underestimating how visual men are. Tbh, there are overly jealous men that don't want their wife to leave the base w/o a jilbaab on deck, gloves and a niqab or you're a flaming whore, but generally, majority of men don't want other men gawking at their significant other. It's the idea of exclusivity; knowing that his wife is 'for him and only for him' Which is also why promiscuous women hardly get any commitment cause she is widely considered public goods.

Also, this would be an interesting discussion if xijaab was replaced w/ a God-given right, such as the right to work. Xijaab wa waajib. Wa sidda salaada oo kale. Qof aan weligi salaad fooda dhigin maad guursan lahayd? Hopefully not.

I'd tell her before we got married that, I would like her to wear a hijaab if we are to get married. If she refuses, in all honesty it's a deal breaker.

I don`t believe you can equate a woman's dress sense with morality.....within reason of course.
Why get so vexted about it?.....People need to live their own lives.

ps Trust me.....the whore of Babylon aint got nothing on me.
