Firinjeer (Fridge), not Furinjeer. I never heard anyone calling a fridge, FURIN JEER.

Cuz they're lazy and Somali (unruly, never follow nidaam/procedure). They like to make their own rules to look cool. Just think of a camel's behaviour and you will understand.
Filin jeer (it is not a movie).
FRIDGE = FIRINJEER

They spell it the way the want because some of these words are not Somali in origin but bastardised words. So people spell it the way they pronounce it. Which is reasonable

Just replace the R with DH then. It's simple, don't hurt your tongue.

Somalinet folks do not represent the average somali. Far from it to be honestly..most of these people cant write one paragraph in somali without making a fool out of themselves..
There is a wrong way and a right way spelling of the somali language..standard somali.
For your information Blue, I havent heard nor use firinjeer. .furinjeerka not firinjeerta/ka..
It dont make sense, there is somali and there is the standard somali..firinjeer is somali just like shaanshi/reer marka/reer baydhabo/reer djibouti are somali..
Furinjeer is the standard somali..
THE fridge=furinjeerKA
and not firinjeerada

Whiteheart
You spelled it wrong when it comes to the average way Somalis pronounce it or spell it. Though Blue is right with FIRIN.
It is pronounced or spelled:
FIRINJIYEER or FIRINJEER.

Going old school huh bruv.

You know in Xamar, they don't even use firingeer, or firijiteer for fridge. I forgot the word. I blame the insomnia.
I remember shopping for fridge and I asked a local, "xagee ka helaa firinjeer weyn"? he was like "huh, what now".
