Zuumale posted material about information relating to the Y DNA which you inherit from your father. So his data pretty much says that somewhere in our ancestry (great great great....grandfather) we have ancestor we share with these pseudo Arabs.

That says only a tiny bit about our complete genome which has millions of SNPs and says virtually nothing of our race.

Nigga, I work with what's available. Unfortunately this and the Ethiopian study are the only Academic sources available on Somalis and Horners respectively. However, even the Danish study cannot offer conclusive results because the sample might be biased as they did not seek out a representative group of individuals. Dude, the information I posted does not identify most of us with pseudo Arabs. The predominate Y-dna ancestry in that study is an African haplogroup.

Baasto: I disagree that scientific (molecular biology in particular) adds nothing intellectual to the debate. When studying sociology and ethnography, ancestry (dna and mtdna evidence) is important but not a stand-alone piece when it comes to studying a particular group of people. Language, culture and customs are other important pieces. To the contrary, I find Zumaale both fair minded and intellectual.

Kareem.dna can be useful in locating the origin of people.there can be a tendency to over exaggerate the importance of dna, though, which zumaale is guilty of.i believe the adoption of mythology, customs and language are far mare important markers of arab identity than haplogroups.the egyptian descendant of a mamlul turkish soldier or the arabised berber or the negroid baqarrah tribes of africa are still part of the arab nation even if their dna suggested otherwise.hitler doesnt become a north african because he got some eb1 haplogroup or something.

Yes it does. The Y DNA is found in Egypt, Sudan and the Mediterenean particularly around Greece, Southern Italy and Spain.

Lastly Y DNA says little if you want to understand where somalis fall. What you need is a full autosmal test which tests everything. You can get them done in 23andMe now.

no. We may r black 5% but more than that can be found in many races without being black

We r a mix of native africans just like the oromo/gala etc and eurasian
