Masha Allah, this thread is a gem. What happened to that sister, Buraanbur?? Her posts are spot on. She was clearly a valuable asset to the online somali community. Too bad she doesn't post here anymore.

Her father was an educated man ( one of the first Somalis to graduate from Columbia) and wanted the same for his daughter, but he was a Takfiri so many of her relatives were not surprised when Ayaan turned out the way that she did.SolidCamel wrote:
Ayaan hirsi wasn't suffocated by Salafism. She was went to a catholic school in Kenya with her brother.
But I agree with what you're saying
Btw, I believe it was her brother who went to a catholic school.
Where I'm from gender studies is taken by rich white chicks who don't plan on working upon graduation and people who couldn't get into any other course. lol I remember being told to take a gender studies class as an elective because it was an easy A. I dropped it after the first class 'cause the lecture hall could double as an LGBT meet-and-greet.SonofANomad wrote:Buraanbur
Do you think this has to do with the universities teaching gender studies and brain washing these xalimos?
skipt to 4:36 in this video You will see that she says that the more elite the school is the more likely they are to take feminist propaganda seriously!

In every university/college in the uk & America they have something called gender studies were they brainwash young women with this nonsenseThey propagate this victomhood mentality and attract a certain type of person ( queers, people of color, and white people with a savior complex). I do believe these courses play a role in why these type of Somalis are becoming more prevalent, but I also think labels like 'feminist' are ridiculous. Feminism in its current form benefits white women (and they're even abandoning it). Why should I pick up a cause that separates me from my own kind and doesn't benefit me in any way? Do you know that on average, white women make more than black men? But I'm supposed to care that white women make 77 cents for every dollar a white man earns? LOL It's disturbing how many women actually fall for this nonsensical crap. I believe in justice and equality. These gaalos can keep their million labels and causes.
