Moryaan go to hell xamar nothin but cheating, lieing, stealing, killing, extortion all that moryaan anarchy is what somalia is based on that's why that homogeneous excuse doesn't help with unity because all the other africa countries more diverse are way more posperious than yours
Listen here i get it you Land rovers are Secessionist i dont care go be another country if you have to, but why do you automatically think secessionism equals Anti-Somalinism?

The notion of Homogenousness helps look at China. Does it seperate Cantonese from Mandarin and make Cantonese a Seperate language from Chinese? No because ahklaq leeyahin they know that it will bring a bond of mutal closeness & understanding between people and thus harmony.

Tyranny and Civil war happens in all parts of the world and throughout history wether they are homogenous or not. One example is north and south korea , People get up dust it off and move on. As should you

The vast majority of Dutch people do not understand fries and yet it's still classified as a Dutch language.

You argument is invalid.

we need to accept our diversity.

but to be honest the difference between langauge and dialect is political.

Dutch is clearly a dialect of german, there are other german dialects that are further away from german but because they are inside germany they are called a dialect.
The same with portuguese and spanish, they are so close they can be dialects.

The most ridiculous cases is China, cantonese is similar to mandarin but is further away from it than italian is to spanish.
and teocheow, hainanese, hokkien are even further, all are not mutually intelligible .

politics plays a big part
We do accept our diversity but that doesn't automatically mean we are different and especially towards outsiders. Why do you think within somalia we differentiate ourselves for the smallest things and have nicknames. There is no one single criteria to differeniate a language from i dialect. it i something the users themselves have to decide and not some eurocentric somali psuedo Intellectual.

Just look at it this way, Somaliweyn is a biggest one ethnic region in Africa , for thousand of years, Somali people migrated from the north of Somalia and settled at different parts of Somali region quite isolated. Overtime, their language evolved slight separately for various regions which what we now call dialects. Af Maxa tiri and Af Maay Tiri are both Somali dialects, but Af Maxa tiri had been accepted as the official/common Somali language. 2 Somalis from different dialect groups should normally converse in Af Maxa tiri as it is the common chinese language worldwide.
