Thanks.
In Afdheer Zone, the Faqi Maxamed Surres live in Doolo Bay Woreda. The Daweed Gaadsan Biimal were not too long ago part of the Afgaab Cawlyahan until they quarelled and established themselves in Jarrati Woreda in the mid 19th century.
The Mandaluug are always found next to OG's even as far as Bangal in NFD where they live with another Gaadsan subclan.
The Gurre and Garire are the Southern K5 Dirs that have has the most contact with the Oromo but those Niggas have some beautiful land Masha Allah. Their Woredas are mostly green and blessed with arable land.
I have not heard of Surres in Gode, the biggest Dir presence in Gode are the Qalafo Bajamal agro-pastoral clan that the current AS leader hails from. They assisted us during our war with the Xawaadle in Hiiraan.

Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
Never knew Dir was so wide spread lol
Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
its like a Dir renaisance century I welcome it and wish them all the best walahi because Dir in Somali context is as old as the Land itself Dir is synonymous with the Somali race
Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
Yeah, they are called Fiqi Kheyr and Fiqi Yaxye. They know who they are bro, I know a Fiqi Yaxye guy from K5 and he enlightened me about the Xeer Surres in Qoraxay Zone.balwarama wrote:so those Xer are Surre sub-sub-sub clan and you said they are called Fiqi Yaxye I learnt something also today it is good that those Xer do have people who know about their existence because I doubt eventhemselves know where they originate do you know there is also Madaluug Dir in Qoraxay and they are part of my inner family reer Ugaas Magan
Did you know that Samaroon are also part of Mandaluug? After the Ahmed Gurey wars, some Mandaluug subclans escaped from the Harar area and settled among the Ogaden.
Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
Dir split up long ago bro, there is a realisation that clans as diverse as the Ciise in the North to Biimal in the South are related but no real unity. Some even push to be a stand alone clan like the ones you exchange poems with North of Gashamo.balwarama wrote:its like a Dir renaisance century I welcome it and wish them all the best walahi because Dir in Somali context is as old as the Land itself Dir is synonymous with the Somali race

Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
so Mandaluug is an ancestor to Samaroon?!
Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
we Bah-Mandaluug twice in our family
Re: war ileen tano kale, reer baaraha kililka.
Yeah bro.
The Mandaluug that live with the Ogaden still cling to the name they had when they emigrated from the North-West
