Good that's true wadani is leading wakiilada by 21 against 18.
But kulmiye is leading deegaanka.
Event hough saaxil and Maroodijeex aya hadhay. Two tradionally kulmiye voters

Waddani held it down in the East
it's also interesting to see UCID still remain competitive. Looks like UCID was the party of choice for those who were finished with Kulmiye but weren't ready to join Waddani
I think Saaxil will go to Kulmiye, but Maroodi Jeex will be a close race. Overall Waddani and Kulmiye will be very close in the seat count, with UCID being the deciding factor in matters. Once again, Faysal is the kingmaker.
What's also interesting is the underperformance of Darood. Dhulbahante only picked up 6 seats (4 Sool, 1 Sanaag, 1 Togdheer), while Warsangeli lost their seats. They went from being 12% of parliament to now 7%.

in sool DH getting 1/3 of the seats is counter productive to the somaliland dream. it means darod don't care and are not participating in the process.

Adeer, I believe you're describing me. If Wadani had a different HY leader they would have a majority in House of Rep and would be an overwhelmingly favorite to win the next Presidential election. They still have a good shot knocking out Muuse in 2022.SuldaanMaplesyrup wrote: Fri Jun 04, 2021 7:22 am Waddani held it down in the Eastit's also interesting to see UCID still remain competitive. I can't wait till the presidential elections. This election foreshadows very tragic news for Kulmiye unless they fix up and try to win the East back

Degmada Berbera:
6 Kulmiye
4 Waddani
3 UCID
Saaxil:
4 Kulmiye
3 Waddani
3 UCID
This is BAD news for Kulmiye. Saaxil should have been a big win for Kulmiye .They don't want to be going into Maroodi Jeex trailing behind Waddani.

Kulmiye is going to win the golaha deegaanka elecions. Its 67 wadani and 82 kulmiye hada. When Maroodijeex finishes the onky 2 districts left us hargeisa and Gabiley.
Wakiilada is different. It's. 24 wadani 22 kulmiye. And that loss is only due to the loss of togdheer. Hj could t produce more mps only 5 in burco. But hj did good in Sool they outdid themselves in Sool.
I think Maroodijeex will be a win for kulmiye. Its 20 seats ba hadhay wakiilada in hargeisa. If They manage it win 12 its a win.

District results (outside the big cities) don't really mean much because it's just elections within the deegaan. Kulmiye winning the most seats in the Salaxley race doesn't mean reer Salaxley are voting for Kulmiye in the next presidential election for example. Hargeisa will be the most important district race though.Khalid Ali wrote: Fri Jun 04, 2021 12:07 pm Kulmiye is going to win the golaha deegaanka elecions. Its 67 wadani and 82 kulmiye hada. HJ did very well in Sool and Sanaag, but HY killed it in Togdheer and did fairly good in Saaxil.
MJX will be close. Even if they win 12 (which is a very tall order), Kulmiye will be at the mercy of the opposition in Parliament. I wouldn't rule out Kulmiye splitting with Waddani.

Re: SOMALILAND parliamentary elections thread 2021 31 may
The reason is I say hargeisa is going to be a win for kulmiye its because. I am talking about wakiilada Maroodijeex. Not golaha wakiilada.. All the sacad muse candidates will come from Maroodijeex and they are all listed under kulmiye. Golaha deegaanka might be a 50 50 win between the 2 parties. But I predict wakiilada will be a win for kulmiye. Time will tell dhowr sacaadood ba inaga xiga.. Hargeisa has the most people and its the capital that's why its important. Hy did kill it in togdheer. Respect. They outdid them selves in that region. I also have to note Ucid isn't doing that bad its picking up xildhibaano meel kasta. Also what I want to stay the shirgudoon will go to kulmiye faratoon. Even though wadani is now in the lead by 22 xildhibaano. How ever faisal ali waraabe will make a deal with kulmiye to share gudoomiye iyo gudoomiye kuligeen and ucid will vote for a kulmiye chairperson. Cheque lacag ah na wa u diyaar odayga reer guleed. Under the table ofcourse.
