TZ Somali

I thought you were a shrewed analyst bro. Notice my statement is ended with " I have I ever seen". That leaves out the issue of generalisation. Don't you agree? I have not seen all the sijuis. But from what I have seen they are retarded.

A case in point; Notice how the sijuis on somalinet have reacted to this thread.

This is a fact; A somali from somalia would never distance himself/herself from somalis. A somali from Djibouti or NFD would do that (after gaining all the amneties that come with being somali).

The worst part of this maligma is when the likes of coolman forsake their somaliness- but become spokesperson for tribalism.

I have been to Tanzania - and with all due rights the somalis who live in tanzania have the right to call themselves Tanzanian somalis because Tanzania has never colonised somalis. The situation in NFD is different. I don't know whether you know its history but the NFD is somali territory, populated by somalis. The name kenya should not be used. Do you get it mate?

Why should we somali-kenyan ('sijuis') be proud of Somalia? a failed state that is a disgrace to all rational thinking human beings. What we have witnessed of your country has not impressed us at all and without wanting to demeaning or belittle your arguments, though I find them to be incoherent and just rants, before you lecture us about 'somali diid', put your own house in order saxiib. End the 16 yrs of bloodshed and violence. Respect the lives of people and their property; dont rape defenceless women folks and protect the minority among your midst. Until you achieve that, dont waste your time.

u can call me sijui or Kenyan somali or any s h i t that u may desire, personally i don't give a damn about the racism of the somalis because they are the lowest of the low, and i don't have anything to prove to them.
reading through this post it is really surprising how we have remained ignorant despite our seeing the world thanks to the civil war.who in the world cares about somalis anyway wherever they come from? remember that we were one community living close together before the coming of the dajjal who ruled us and divided us and now our continued hatred of each other just shows how we have played into his hands.
this whole shitty tribalism thing doesn't make any sense at all, seems like we are not learning our lessons at all.
is it surprising that whenever there is to be a drought in Africa,it hits the somalis the hardest, whether in Kenya or Somalia?
it is amazing that the somali community is the only one in the world that fights among itself being a single community with a single language, religion, customs, traditions etc etc...u only have to look at conflicts elsewhere for a comparison....

i know many of u don't like this but let me tell u guys on the day when we will all be assmbled, we will be asked questions NONE of which will be about our tribes.and if our tribes are that important they will never avail us of any punishment we might be given.
for those who are still curious,i am muslim.muslim first and last.nothing else.i don't care about tribe, nationality etc etc and i believe in treating someone just like i would like to be treated.

Skippa You just nailed it down bro.

In Tanzania we've Indian,Parsian,Arab and Somali descendants living and working side by side as Tanzanians.
We had a Somali-Tanzania Defence Minister, a Somali-Tanzania Foreign Minister and a Somali-Tanzania Chairman of Tanzanian Football Association.

Bushyman, The world does not care about us. But we should care about each other. Don't you think? and that is where my topic comes in. I find it funny that ethnic somalis from the NFD and Djibouti claim otherwise when they have accessed all the benefits that come with being somali. My guess is that the likes of Lord D, Coolman and others have been somalis , identified themselves as somalis when they needed to use the name to gain asylum statues. Once achieved they become kenyan somalis, sijuis and what have you- a pity!

Lord D, your arguments are very infantile bro. Killing each other is not a good enough reason to forsake your ethnicity. Why don't you sijuis take the lead and participate in reconciliation? Some of you become supreme tribalists and engage in the tribal disource that has befallen our folks- but that is the subject of another topic. What I am concerned with the double standards that you employ.

I am aware that not many of your people back in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera share your stance. My analysis is hence limited to those of you in the diaspora. I found them in cities across the world. The first few days of your stay , there are no better somalis. It is heartbreaking to hear people say "walaalo aniga somali waay jeeshay". A few months later, the same person is a kenyan somali and replying everything with the line SIJUI.

TZ somali, your statements are uncalled for given my mild tune to the tanzanian somalis. I have no idea what is burning you. Get a glass of water, a reading glass (read my replies to you above) and come with arguments.

B Max, Am I a moryan for stating the obvious? I am schooled in eastern african politics, I have been to Tanzania and I have investigated your assertion that "Somali-Tanzania Defence Minister, a Somali-Tanzania Foreign Minister and a Somali-Tanzania Chairman of Tanzanian Football Association."

and my conclusion is that these are not true. The world would have heard of it! In Kenya, somalis had ministers, the defence minister was a somali, the police chief and many of the directors in the parastatals. But these same people would witness on the extent of subordination towards the somali community. The NFD is the least developed part, its people lack basic rights that a nation accords its people; it is the subject of constant raids from the armed forces. There is a colonial mentality on the part of the kenyans- don't force me going!

yes good point, the world does not care about us but we need to take care of each other.but don't u know that it is ppl with mentalities like you who have divided our beautiful community (i say this because there is no community like somali in the entire world) along silly ethnic lines and make us a laughing stock of the entire world?
let us get above paperwork and benefits etc....or how we accrue them irrespective of what we claim to be..our lives are bigger than all these.
if u claim that NFD ppl and Djibutians are opprtunustic somalis, then tell me,what have the somali somalis in the diaspora done to help the poor somalis stuck in somalia who are facing gun battles, drought, pestilence only with their bare skin and bones???
Caydid get out of this petty, stupid (i hate the word) kitchen politics for once.Use what ever u get for your good and the good of your community.there are many who are dying to get an ounce of what u have.

P.S
caydid,
I do fully agree on what u said about our spineless leaders in NFD,it is because of them that we are the least developed province.

Caydid I have many sujuwe friends and I have seen both kinds of Somali Kenyans. Some sijuwis try really hard to learn Somali and are proud of their somalinimo; while on the other hand I have friends who claim they are Kenyans and deny any affiliation to Somalis! Similarly I have seen Somalis from Somalia who are also ashamed of being Somali and would rather hide this aspect of their identity. We cannot generalize about these matters. As a semi sijuwi I can tell you what caused many Kenyan Somalis to be ashamed of their somalinimo was the change in their status within Kenya and the world at large. They were transformed from being desirable to being undesirable virtually over night. The Somali stock value was high in Kenya before the civil war and our sujuwe cousins milked it in Kenya, walking around in Kenya with an air of arrogance due to their somalinimo prior to the civil war. After the civil war millions of Somalis flooded Kenya as refugees many of whom due to circumstances became criminals, hookers and undesirables. A Kenyan man never dreamed of touching a Somali woman back in the days now he can have a Xalimo for a few shillings. This is why they resent greater Somalia. Because their over inflated ego was popped (not all sujuis). Now some try to inflate their ego by claiming to be Kenyans or non Somali while izza and sharaf are only from Allah. I have no resentment towards sujuwe (my dad being one), but this is my assessment of why some of them hate Somalis so much. its all about kibir. You can’t really blame them, perhaps we should feel their pain, give them a hug and tell them to get over it man! We are all Somalis and quit spitting in the mirrow Laughing Laughing Cool-man im i correct?
