The mistake of those who believe that force, fraud, injustice, whatsoever untrue things, howsoever cloaked and decorated, was ever or can ever the be the principle of man's relations to man, is great and the greatest. It is the error of the infidel; in whom the truth as yet is not. It is an error pregnant with mere errors and miseries; an error fatal, lamentable, to be abandoned by all men.

in his political pamphlet, Chartism

Basra, My Soror Mystica,

If it is any consolation, no one understands the tangled brilliance of Carlyle prose. It is heavy weather going through it. But it is definitely worth the effort and after a while u get used to it anyway.

All truth passes through three stages. First it is ridiculed; second it is violently opposed; third it is accepted as being self-evident.

"A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything." Malcolm X

I also like this one:

"There is nothing in our book, the Koran, that teaches us to suffer peacefully. Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery. ThatÂ’s a good religion."

"Most of today's ppl are passive agressive friends...so its hard to find a sympathetic friend when suffering, let alone when your successful."

Improvised by Cawar...through Oscar wilde's quote. Very Happy
