I don't remember Arte being any political group advocating Somalia or Somaliweyn, if you will!

I can't believe you're talking about Ducaale and Arte in the same sentence. I was there in Somaliland over the summer....that guy is pathetic human being. I don't car if he is my own brother, he makes me sick listening to him and the way he conduct "business" in Somaliland is beyond comprehension.

I dont know how you can compare Honourable Cumar Carte to Cawil. Waa nin iyo meel madhan.

Cumar Carte is a great and distinguished Somali political leader. His achievements as Diplomat and Politician stand out by themselves.

I think I smell a little Jealousy against your more powerful neighbours the habar Awal.

Cumar Carte had so much charisma and ability that he was able to overcome the machinations of Cigaal and was able to win a seat in the last Somali parliament. And he wasnt even on the SYL ticket. Later on he mended fences with Cabdirashiid Cali sharmaarke and it was rumoured that if the political agenda of Cigaal Foundered, C/Rashiid was planning to sack him and appoint either Cumar Carte or Cali Jirde(Sacad Muuse and Ciise Muuse habar Awal respectively).

Under Siyaad Barre he distinguished himself as one of the most outstanding diplomats ever produced by an African country.

Cawil by contrast was an ambassador in minor posts without distinguishing himself. He is even accused of doing some anti Isaaq things like kidnapping Isaaq opponents of Siyaad Barre from Kenya to Xamar with the help of the Kenyan secret police.

After he was recalled to Xamar in 1978 to take part in the War against Ethiopia, he ran away to Kenya after the Defence Ministry rejected his lame excuses(lack of familiarity with soviet weapons, lengthy time away from active duty).

Afterwards his sister sought a pardon from Siyaad for him and in 1980 he returned to Xamar as an importer/exporter getting rich while the other Isaaqs were dying. Many people accuse him of being a Siyaad spy.

At that same time, Siyaad Barre put Cumar Carte in jail.


The Verdict:

Cumar Carte, Great Somali Diplomat and Elder Statesman needlessly slandered by unworthy adversaries.

Samatr, Cumar Carte was a servant of the state of Somalia, not a servant of Siyaad Barre. And when Siyaadism went off the rails he opposed it and that is why he was thrown in jail and sentenced to death!

Only the furor and outcry from the international community saved him and the six other leaders who were sentenced that day.

The real Siyaad stooges among the Isaaq were HY and mostly Muuse Carre to be fair and honest. Cawil was one of them who grew rich from his association with Siyaad in the 80's. I wont have to tell you about Cawil's brother in law. Siyaad's personal doctor was Muuse carre too(although he is Damal Muuse, not really Muuse Carre but if you claim them,,, there u are)

Gaboose was nothing more than a doctor to Siad Barre its not my fault your uncles couldn't read a book, Cawil was an actual spy. Damal Muuse are Muuse Carre. I never knew one could spread so much lies in a single post.
