Waraabe is irrational, Riyoole is a puppet. They can not do any damage, but Ina yey and the dameer lackey have done damage and can still do damage. My point being Isaaq people are guilt free of what is happening to Xamar.

Riyoole, Waraabe, and any other Isaaq leader would do what Cambara Fanax and Caasho Biijo did if they were in their position to be given power over Somalia. Somaali waa Somaali regardless of qabiil.

So your saying Isaaq would commit genocide on Hawiye, your ignoring the reality. Isaaq as a clan have made some of the wisest decisions since the civil war, I am sure that even our most extreme people like Waraabe would not kill Xamaraawi natives with Xabash, regardless of what you believe. The fact is there are Puntland soldiers in Xamar with Xabashi soldiers killing Hawiye people, Somaliland would not do such a thing.

Ismahan, All I'm saying is the Somaliweyne or the Somali unity was formed as a result of the great white devil not a genuine unity that came about by itself without any external motivations such as Gaal occupation. Understood Abdulaahi Isse and many before him wanted to supplant the imperial authority with a Somali one. The problem arose when they adopted Western/European models of democractic state to establish upon their new born government. Which by the way took about 10 yrs to prepare, because once Italy and Britain were ready to dispose of us, United Nations appointed them as the trustee administrators of Somalia because we were deemed too ignorant and incomptent to take over our own country and self-govern (we needed some coaching from the nice big brothers) and what happened then? Not even 10 years after independence and the departure of Gaalo, the fragile Somali Unity was put to the test, the president was assasinated, and Siad Bare implemented a successful coup d'tate and proceeded to a great dictatorship nicely followed by 17+ years of civil war. The root cause of all this? we were never really united! why try force it now?

Somalia's rivalry with Ethiopia btw extends well prior to the 77 war, it's just that in recent history they excelled in hitting us when we are on our knees. The current Ethiopian disaster I put it squarely on TFG's shoulders, a bunch of greedy Mooryaans. You can not blame Ethiopia to take a golden opportunity and acting on it, although when the time is right they will be held accountable for murdering 1000s of civilians in Mogadishu.

Demure,

There were always people that were working for the greater Somalia. We were just unfortunate that our jahiileen exceeded our waxgarad, until today. Although, we disagree with the notion that there was Somaliwyne made by Somalis, however, you are right that our choice of Western models of government failed us. It failed us again because our people although they wanted a country, didn't know democracy.Like you said, they were just not competent enough to use without abusing it. But then again, what model was appropriate for a young country like Somali to adopt. They certainly couldn't keep on being nomads and expect to be in line with the rest of the world. To be successful, you need to take risk and learn from your mistakes. The thing is are we still paying for those mistakes, because we certainly didn't learn from them.

Ismahan you wrote,

But we have had government right after recognition in 1960....we had national party, and congress, that tallied up votes...but have we had Siyyad Government. You make it seem we were on the bushes all along.

in the first place, qaldaans were forking mirqaan mad to bring their foking independence to the south, and like 1960 they decided now to part, adios, ciao. show them, you can offer them advantegous in a union like peace and prosperity. never beg some1 including your wife if they don't want a union with you. war and threats=another civil war. qaldaans will not be defeated but it will be a setback to the idea of somali union for decades or centuries. use your lazy brains.

Jr,

You misunderstood me. All I wanted to get across was that adopting Western model of government was not a bad idea. However, its the people who were running the government that was. Since our population was not educated mostly, people took advantage of that, therefore, was alot of corruption and abuse of power in the government, hence our situation today. Yes, Siyad's gov't was a recognized one, at the same time, it did alot of damage to the country and its unity.

Our unity is at hand. I suspect the cause would take us far, and much further, however, let us not discount the young, and the old that look forward on it.
