Somalis Leaving Islam you say?
May I ask, what you mean excatly?
Because I can't help but think the MAJORITY of Somalis are not in Islam.
They are not practising, they do not pray 5 times a day and that is the shield of Islam, the second pillar and without it you are not a Muslim.
So by that, my I point out, many Somalis today in the west and back in Somalia do not pray anyhow and there are not Muslim.

Over-statement?

Ah Yes thats an overstatement. If a person says La Illaha Illa Allah Muhamadan Rasulu'Allah and they believe it they are Muslim.

Not praying is a grave sin. Refusing to pray or saying prayer isn't necessary is the worst of sins.

But they are still in Islam.

But it is definatly something they need to consider.
Ofcourse it's an over statement, but many Somalis aren't excatly meeting even the minimum standards anyhow.
I've come across many who don't want to pray and don't see it as a big deal, who do everything like that of the kufr and ashamed of being a Muslim to the point they don't want to associated with anything to do with it and do not regard themselves as ones.

So what do you mean by 'leaving' Islam.
Surely, if they are doing that I've mentioned come into that fold?
Or do they need to actually say 'I am leaving Islam'?

I have so much to add, but I don't want to get into this incase I offend anyone or get myself into dembi.
Allah knows best and may He forgive me for generalizing.
Good topic by the way.
