puntland its just like anyother regions in somalia...interms of qabiil that it...like the south mainly is of hawiye areas....the waqooyi....(not all waqooyi though) is of isaaqs...and ountland is of majeerteen rule...and anyone that not happy with...can get the hell out

I believe cadde muse was chosen by members of parliament, those members of parliment were basically representatives of their region. The hashi dude was a close second to him in votes(by parliment).

But we have to remember puntland was just starting as semi autonomous state, can't expect voting to be done right away.

I was reading the Puntland government website and it said the President is elected by the House of Reperesentatives,but it doesn't say who elects the house of representatives, just that they are 66 memebers, 2 from each of the 33 districts.
