HUSBAND and not the marriage in general. Waxan ku iri nayaa maxad romance iyo waxas ku fali as long as he's good to you and loves you, and if romance is really important to you do something about it, and if your man is a little dense, give him a hint, wear a sexy, hot night gown once in a while or give him a massage when he comes home from fadhi ku dirir,
or just bluntly tell him what you want and need, and if you are not comfortable doing any of those things, buy yourself a romance novel and call it a day, her reply was "Nabeela you simply don't understand abaayo"
Married people enlighten me,
is there a way to help my friend.
Yeah, don't marry a faraax. Or conduct a careful search till you meet one who does have that "bone".

what romance? somalis breed like cats and no time to enjoy/play. the wife is pregnant every year like she thinks her husband's tribe are endangered spieces and is rescuing them from oblivion.

I was about to same thing walaahi. LOL @ receiving flowers and a box of chocolate, rose petals on the bed and bubble bath etc.. You people have bought into the western concept of romance. What the hell would receiving flowers do for me? What do the flowers symbolize anyway?
My husband doing something for me out of the goodness of his heart, and not because he wants to appear to be 'romantic', is what I would call a romantic gesture. Him giving me a box of chocolate and a mixed CD when I'm stressing over work-related issues and other things is hardly going to do anything for me.

when somali women talk about romance? they're really talking about FOREPLAY!!. they're just too shy to say it out loud.
