You basically insulted Thousand's of Somali's dude. There is nothing wrong with using Hunno. Just as much as aboo or abaayo is your language, so is hunno for us. Usually i say walaalo, hunno, geelo, or habo.

But my cousin interfered immediately and explained to me they (reer waqooyi/Qaldaans) use the word HUUNO instead of walaal, marka is deji ina adeer wax kale meesha ma yaalaane, markaasaan ku iri waa ceeb nin nin kale HUUNO ku oranaya dumarka laakiin waa okey.

I can understand reer Xamarka they have clear words no confusion, Abaayo for Gabdhaha Aboowe for Ragga, laakiin HUUNO xagey ku dhamaataa xageyse ka bilaabataa

Hada waan la qabsadey markii HUUNO la’ igu yiraahdo waan yara qoslaa markaasaan haye walaal ugu jawaabaa.

I don't mind whichever they use as long as they're not calling me out of my name. Walaal however sounds too serious. When I hear/say walaal, it's when I'm having a serious conversation or argument with someone.
