I heard that the first Somali settler that come to the city was an Ogaden man called Sheikh Hassan from Ethiopia, there was were in Ethiopia between some absame tribes, and he brought with him what is left of his family and relatives, his offsprings still live in Afmadow today, he met a few natives there such as Bajuuns/swahilis etc, they helped him in clearing the bushes and trees, and that was the start of a city to come.then some Harti come Bari, and they were given some land, then Gaaljecel and Sheekhaal come, then Ogaden move southward into afmadow and sorounding towns because of wars with Harti and gaaljecels. then later on Marexan from Galgaduud come. so now we have Ogaden, Harti, Marexan, sheekhal, gaaljecel, bajuun, reerxamar, carab, italians, the city become multi-cultural and that is the way Kismayo is gonna stay always, because every tribe that tried to control it fail, in fact it was the opposite, they lost control of the city, its bigger than all these stupid tribes that are trying to control it, if they just realize that and leave it the way its.

Ok I do apologise Siyad Bare did wonderful job of settling us in Somalia and NFD but he settled Marexan in better places like Luuq, Garbaharey, Dusamareeb and Bangiga dhexe Somalia, Boliqorane, Xafisaha dawlada and many many more so this is not fair
