Samatre,
MARKAAN JU ARKO WAANKYU MUHDAA
MUUQAAGAAN JECLOO
Max'd Axmed and Magool....it's old political song. I don't know where you can find it but it's really old....good luck!
Ducaale,
Somali literature (suugaan) has no boundaries however, I noticed you have the tendency to promote the lyrics of certain group of people. If you love Somali Music in general as you claim, why is that?
Qurucxey,
Hooyadii fankaad noqotay ma istadhi...that is very nice walaahi.

Salaaaaaaaaan sare peeps...
I think I am THE biggest fan of Soomali music.. like EVER! (especially heesaha qaraamiga ah).
Anyways, sheeko kale yaanan gelin ee, this is one of my favourite Soomali tracks...
Sida haro gigimanoo
Biyo galac ka leeyiin
Geesahana doogiyo
Ubaxii is gaadheen
Laga guurin waligeed
Waxad tahey gadeedii
Sida galab cadceedoo
Godka lagu ganbiyey
Gaban mayo aniguye
Waan is guursaneynaa
Adna gacaladeydaay
Aynu guri yagleelee
Geestaada ila qabo
Haddaan anigu goc ayoo <---------MY FAVOURITE PART!
Cudurkaad I galisey
Intuu halista ii galey
Aan gabey talaabada
Geeri iyo god mooyee
Ifka gogoli ii ool
Waxad sida tan ii galey
Garaad xume jacaylbaa
Xeryo igu ganbiyayoo
Geestaa I joojee
Gu waaye ha idhigin
Gago laga hayaamee
Kaaley gacanta ila qabo
Sida geenyo uguboo
Geesiguu rabeeystoo
Gayigoo barwaqaa
Naqa goosaneysaa
Oon gaajo aragoo
Galabtii la daawado
Waxad tahey gadeedoo
Waxad guri ku leedahey
Halbawlaha guntiisiyo
Wadnaha gararkiisee
Adna gacaladeydaay
Aynu guri yagleelnee
Geestaada ila qabo.
Sida qaalin geeloo
inta uu gu roob heley
cirka baarku gaadhoo
lagu guurin waligii
Galabtii caraabadaa
Marku geelu yara baxoo
Waxad tahey gediisoo
Midabkiisa gaarkaa
Sida loogu goohaan
Anna kuugu guuxaa
Go iwaaye ha idhigin
Gago laga hayaamee
Kaaley gacanta ila qabo....

Quruxda,
Patrice Emery Lumumba, was an african nationalist and the first (and only) elected head of state of congo-Kin (Democratic Rep. of Congo, Formerly Zaïre). Because his vision and ideals didn't agree with what the West had planned for Congo, He was murdered in 1961 by some rebels/mercenaries in concert with the Belgians (which colonozied Congo-Kinchasa). There's a good movie titled "Lumumba" that came out in 2003. It depicts his rise to power as well as the circumstances of his death...check it out!

Who is siciid Xasan? I assure you that name is completely unknown in Somalia's literary circles and given the lyrics you just quouted I can't say I am surprsied. Cruel I know but hey we are somalis - cruelty is part of our heritage.
Sanag DID produce one master, in fact one of the best of somalia's playwrights. He made himself a name by saimply converting camel-watering ditties into modern classic Somali songs.
Hedre is one:
Hoobey Hillaacii xalay
Hoobey Kii habeen hore
Hoobey caawa ku hayaan
Hoobey oo ku soo hiro
(my translation: Oh the lightening of last night
oh the lightning of teh night before
oh may lead you on a journey
and use it as your guide)
Siciid saalax is also the only somali playwright to have produced a completely silent piece of thetare(Gurban, 1976)
PS: It is not the same man is it?

Galol, thanks for the correction.
Dhagabacayl, raali ahow, i didn't see your post the last time i checked. Don't make look like what i am not. My last post, i highlighted the works of Abwaan Cabdi Maxamoud. I do have shortcomings.
Quruxleey, I knew that.
