God also quite clearly said not to consume intoxicants of any kind, yet here we are making excuses.

answer the question instead of thumping your chest bro. circular arguments get boring after a while. why is it that you refuse to consume wine for 'medicinal purposes' on religious grounds but would consume cannabis in a heartbeat under the same circumstances when it is also explicitly forbidden by God? and I'm not making excuses, I haven't even stated my opinion on the medicinal use of weed...just pointing out the hypocrisy that from an Islamic perspective (which obviously you and grandpa subscribe to), its forbidden, plain and simple.
