Maybe i misunderstood the meaning but the general i get when i hear is that she doesnt opposite/question every decision he makes.She lets him have the final decision making ability.That she respects when he puts his foot down on something.

First of all the phrase pleasing your husband and raaliya has nothing to do with respecting and been nice to your spouse.

Every married couple have to respected eachother whether they are males/females, respect is matual walalo.

Secondly for your question; No , after 25 years of marriage alxamduliliah still my parents have matual respected towards eachother mashallah, but that did not made my mother raaliyad nor doormat. Hada raaliyaad waxaan u la jeeda cleaning after your husband/ cooking all sorts of foods just to please him and ironing his clothes every morning also running him bath after work . Ma aniga waaxa soo dhan nin u sameeya.

Horta can a husband be a raaliye?

Horta whether ur mom is raaliya or not is ur father's biz but the part i highlighted, the reason why Men get married is to get all those you listed and more, ofcourse what you listed is a minor thing but married women have to provide those service.

I never thought of raaliyo as a bad term. It sounds like "raali galin" but then again it says a lot about the person you are with if they need constant raali galin and in la kool kooliyo like a kid. But then again they do say men are like big babies.
