Hararghe was basically central and eastern Ethiopia and when Hararghe was split in two, it became Oromo kilil and the Somali kilil. Within Oromia you have Somali areas thats inhabited by Degodiya and other Hawiye subclans and this is central Ethiopia just south of Addis. Majority of Hararghe was Somali, for instance Bale province used to be controlled by Somalis during Axmed Gurey but today its predominantly Oromo and its part of the Oromo kilil.

sahal meyle is correct there 14 region during King Haille selasie hararghe bale and sidame the amhara dominated parliament always tried to limit the ethnic groups dominating one region, So shewa was amhara oromo mix Gojjam berta and amhara mix Eritrea was 9 different ethnic groups, sidamo had hadiya sidama people oromos and Somalis , bale had arsi somalis , hararghe had harari afranqallo and Somali and Afars, Tigray had afars and tigray and irobs and agews, and so on.

Yeah I'm getting to understand these days also mayle is ethnic historian... gacanaa utaagey. I was the other day reading some history DIR blog and was saying this is dir folaan and that is dir callaan. Seems they got oromized bc of the media.

Habar Gidir are the most famous Somalis. We have had books and movies made about us. What other qabiil can claim such fame ? Our warriors and war history are studied in the finest military schools.
