What is there to be ashamed of as a Hawiye? Without a doubt the most populous and powerful clan in Somalia.
I think it is because we don't feel threatened like the others do. We are very confident in our god given ability to take cake care of anyone shows aggression. The folks who worship qabiil feel threatened and weaker so they are constantly in a state of trying to mobilise forces and that is why there is a need to tell the children who they are and who their enemies are at an early age.

No its because you are a child of a mooryan. In no other place in the horn are there a mooryan clan too the extent of the Hawiye. You must be young because you don't know your history.

I'll talk to you when you master the courage to say that to the nearest Hawiye person.

Jam street, knowing your qabiil and your abtirsi is not a big deal you know. As long as one doesn't become a qabiilist, it's fine.

How about you give this a break now on? Your posts are repetetive and silly. While you're at it, change your dpSTARKAST wrote:No its because you are a child of a mooryan. There was a serious attempt in the 1960's to ignore tribe. Peace Corps Voulunteers were told not to discuss it. As a result, I only learned after coming to Snet. I don't even know my landlord's qabiil for sure. Living in Jilib, I knew only that Kismayo was a Darood town, and to be avoided.

Sky keep dreaming. Jam don't get angry now, its only the truth, don't get manipulated now, sky and his khat klan agrees.
Re: How were you introduced and educated about tribe?
I still get really embarassed and humiliated whenever qabiil and abtiris comes up,as rare as it does.
