I agree with the vast majority of people in the video, especially the lady who last spoke, who say this is an agenda pushed by Ethiopia, the West and others to dilute Somali ethnicity. They are targeting Somalia's coastline. There is an economic factor in this equation.

If you were born to a Somali, and only Somali father, either in the 5 Somali lands or abroad you are Somali by ethnicity and nationality...now case is closed.

If you are born to a Somali father from the 4 major clans or Rahanwayn/Mahibaan/Yibir, you are Somali. Anything else is nonsense. It doesn't matter if have a Somali mother and have lived in Somalia for 300 years.

Bro, I would even propose that Somali locals be given jobs in preference to Somali diaspora members. The people of the Somali diaspora at least have a country to return too, but the Somali locals have nowhere to go. If you want to stabilize the country, part of the process is giving the young men some meaningful employment. Give these young men a stake in the stabilization of our country, and watch the civil war end within a few years.

The first foreigners to get banned from working in Somalia should be the Amisom troops as the jobs that they do Can be done by local Somalis and done more effectively. If Amisom is gonna stay then all foreigners should be allowed to come to somalia to work and live as they please.

I agree and any if foreign worker that comes should strictly be somali and must require to be able to transfer skill and give employment to the locals.

For Somalia ultimately the solution is complete ownership of the products/services that we use to live in a productive way. Creating business and employing our own people, and therefore empowering our people, creating wealth in the broadest sense and retaining that wealth within our own communities. The Hadith you quote doesn't suit the topic. Once you know the story behind it you will figure out what prophet Mohamed - صلى الله عليه و سلم - meant by " Your nephew is one of you ".

In Hunain battle " Gazwat Hunain ", Al Ansar were not happy with Prophet Mohamed decision to give some of the war booty to new converts " Al Mo'alafat Qulubuhum ". Prophet Moahmed - صلى الله عليه و سلم - requested to have meeting with Al Ansar to listen to their complaints. He asked them if there is any foreigner among them. They said " Our nephew Al Nuaman Bin Muqren - رضي الله عنه ", he replied " Your nephew is one of you". Then he started praising Al Ansar till they calm down and forgot all about Hunain booty. If someone praised your tribe, your nephew has been praised too.

Ask yourself how your nephew, your sister's son, can be considered as one of you if you can't even inherit him? This Hadith as it is written in the link you posted can be qouted in such topics as affinity but can NOT be used as a source when it comes to inheritage or lineage or even citizenship.
