Most of us in Somalia are actually poor 'nobodies'. I'm pretty sure if Somalis sucked up to Arabs we will be living in mansions with milk and honey, not in 1 bedroom apartments with cracks on the wall.

I cringe when a Somali claims to be Arab, except for xamar cadcad. When I went Somalia we weren't treated significantly so I don't know why people generalise Somalis as sucking up to Arabs. Completely untrue.

Ok many are beggars but not by choice. No one will give us jobs as they would prefer to give the job to their kinsmen. We weren't always poor, in fact we were very wealthy. I'm disgusted about how I was discriminated when I went there. I felt like an alien. One relative of mine had his business ruined and false charges were pressed against him. This guy gave some hope to us, we was proud of him. Then he gets his business shut down and strikes on the head with a pistol (no bullet fired). This happened like 3 months ago and it's depressing man.

nah my relatives left there as soon as the war ended in South. They ambushed them in the masajids and neighbourhood during their stay. We are used to it though *sigh*
