i mean the fact somalia will go out of their way to delay the berbera deal shows you the hate they have for SL.

Somalia has sovereignty on SL meaning air, water, and land. Even though SL has in control over land, Somalia could block airplane companies from air and have a no fly zone. Same in the waters as well.

SL have people starving as well. Heck, America has people starving so that isn't a metric to judge on how well a country is.

Somalia has made a cooperation deal with SL to have joint managerial role on air traffic.

that boat sailed a long time ago, the older pro somalia generation is dying out and the younger more ruthless generation is taking over, somali republic will die with them. Your only chance was to convince those old heads

Those hold heads are politicians in SL. Anything could happen.

I was also sad to see some isaaqs supporting this move. To me it seems like Isaaqs have broken up into two distinct ideological camps. One, which is the majority, is pro-Soomaali even if they support the independence of Somaliland. They understand that siyaasad is just siyaasad and that the bonds of soomaalinimo which tie us together through blood, culture, language and land are abiding and sacrosanct. In other words they know that ethnicity trumps borders.

On the other side we have a new breed of rabid isaaqists who suffer from deep cuqdad and display nothing but hatred and venom for their fellow Somalis. They are no longer loyal to the Somali ethnicity, and they cite the actions of the kacaan as a justification, even though most people in the south were just civilians and either had nothing to do with the kacaan or were in fact victims themselves. These Isaaqo-fascists also seem to forget that many of the people in Somaliland's government were with the kacaan until it's final days in 1991. I don't know how they cope with such cognitive dissonance.

I am an Isaaq from the noble house of Ciidagale and these weird fockers don't represent me or most Isaaqs.
