If every Isaaq could be X.Playa, Daarood and Hawiye members in here would be in the clouds with kibir. Every word that utters from this guy's mouth has Daarood or Hawiye attached to it. It's like the British Royal family and X.Playa is the paparazzi. Every word he says, every picture he takes, every post he makes is about Daarood and Hawiye.

It is a shortsighted comment to have made. He is where he is today, the president of Somalia getting a handover in villa Somalia, because of the incremental gains made by each president over the past 26 years. He is standing next to HSM president of the first internationally recognised government since the civil war.

He might have been trying to just manage expectations. HSM navigated that by saying there haven't been functioning institutions for over two decades. The language Farmajo has chosen is different...he needs to realise that Somalia is at a new dawn which his predecessors worked towards. Now that he has the baton he can spend the next 4 years adding to that or taking us back to old wounds.

Farmajo is not a PM of a transitional government anymore. As the president of Somalia he should realise that people are watching him closely, his power is in his words and ability to bring Somalis together. He needs to pick his words more carefully in the future.

Farmaajo wasn't elected because he was very politically tact or much of a speaker. I honestly don't think he will improve very much on that score. We shall see what he can do, I think that's what he will be judged on.

No, I think Farmaajo would be doing a huge disservice to the Somali people by lying and bypassing the truth to massage hypersensitive qabiil egos. I find it quite sad and funny at the same time that people would take exception to this simple matter of fact statement. This was absolute fact and kudos to Him for saying it. What has taken place the past 26 years would not pass for Governance in a zoo let alone Human Beings.

Now it is time for Farmaajo's Government to distinguish themselves and act like a real one. I hope and pray He will.

Somalis are in denial by the looks of it. The corpse called 'Somalia' cannot be resuscitated because when push comes to shove, Qabil comes before Qaran.

What he said is true but not all truth needs to be said specially if it antagonizes some of your supporters from the start. He should try avoid any controversy.

What he said wasn't wrong but comments like these will undermine his long term goal of bringing Somalis together. We all know how sensitive Somalis are when it comes to criticizing leadership from their clan. Look at all the marexaan folks here rushing to Farmaajo's aid lol

Somalis from all corners celebrated his win and trust him to govern in fairness. But trust is a fragile thing, especially in a country like Somalia. He needs to measure his words because trash talking old leadership will add nothing but more mucarads.
