Taking a flight lesson. I got a very interesting pilot with over 20 years experience flying 747 for BA. But more interestingly, he asked me where I was from, I'm guessing it was rhetoric cause he then told me about how he used to deliver cargo of tobacco to Mogadishu. He wasn't talking rubbish cause he knew how close the air strip is to the ocean. He told me after the Russians left he used to speak English out loud to make sure the locals knew he wasn't Russian.

This place is packed with 99.9% white people, intimidating at first but soon I realised everyone was minding their own business.

We are in the middle of "Canadian Spring-like weather" (for us it is winter). So at this time of the year, the trees look lifeless and the grass even more greener than summer
