I halfways agree. Considering the poor social/economic reality in Somalia, no one might say that Somalis do not need aid or loan money from the international funds. The point rather is on what conditions and how are the ends justifying the means, in relation to the common Somali people?

Somalia's development is far greater than focusing on material wealth and job creations. It is more than simply building a school, for if that school is being built for people whose outlook on opportunities is impaired, then the school will do little for tangible development.
If the social and mental conditions of those receiving opportunities has not be addressed, then no matter what you pour into development, the results will always be attenuated.

Frankly the idea that Aid will help Somalia or is helping us is a mythical construction. In fact we are worse off because of the continues stream of Aid sent.
