^^^ No 28 year old Ambassadors to major countries, PERIOD.

Credentials papers. I can get a University of Toronto Degree and a PHD but that doesn't make me qualified too be an ambassador. One must be diplomatic and forthright. He could be the best negotiator Somalia has when dealing with the US. But I see a lot of people opposed to him for one reason and one reason only.[/quote]

In other words, he doesn't have the requisite qualifications. You should've said so and saved your fingers from the wear of typing.

Education alone is not sufficient and should not even be the primary requirement. Experience should. All the more the so when the position is high stakes one -- the amb. to reigning superpower of the world. What's his ambassadorial exeperience? What qualifications did other candidates, vying for the job, have?

WE DEMAND ANSWERS!

From the looks of it, Majiraan nepotism is rearing it's ugly head again.

If he was a 40+ MJ guy with a PhD and a lot of Int'l experience, I would keep quiet about it because AT least he is qualified.

If this does come true, I will realize that the TFG is not competent

"Mohamed said at the news conference that he graduated in 2003 from the University of Washington, where he studied American ethnic studies. But university records indicate he has not graduated and that there are several financial holds on his record."

Ashlee~ This guy was nominated for the position because of "Qabiil" reasons, The majeerteen in seattle have something to do with it, Yes he managed "one" of the many Somali Community Centers but there's more people that are suitable and right for the position then him.

^^^ managing a Somali Community Ctr. does not prepare you for Ambassador to the US Laughing

If he was a smart guy who wanted nepotism to work for him, he should have arranged a scholarship & lower level positions in the Somali Govt.

And then presented himself in 10-15 years as a PhD and over a decade of experience under his belt...........

Even the fact that he thinks he's qualified indicates to me he doesn't have a clue.

Man I'm begining to believe all they say about MJs and is about join the opposition party Laughing

What I can't decide is if the driving force behind their motivation is simply a blind greed or maybe blind faan?

Anyway, If A Yusuf is smart and is serious about batching Somali up, he needs to consider mollifying the majority of Somalis and not permit any MJ to hold any notable position in Somali politics at this point in time or actually till his term is over. That is the only way most of us will believe he is not motivated by the infamous MJ -ism.
