jazakallah khayr for this great post, may Allah (swt) reward you immensely for your good deeds.....AMIIN. we all need to realise that this dunya is temp. insha'Allah and eternal life is in akhirah. plus we all have that extra responsibility as muslims living in the west because we are supposed to be teaching non muslims about this beautiful deen. and the best way to teach is through....EXAMPLE........can we all say we are setting good examples? can we all say we are giving Islam a good name insead of tarnshing it's good name?...............

I know the quesition is directed at lucky star but insha'Allah you won't mind be commenting.........
if fitting in means dressing like them and acting like them, do you think its normal? why do we need to fit in anyway? isn't this a free country, where you can keep your identity and dress and act your own way (the way of Islam)?

We shouldn't be trying to fit in, we should be trying to spread Islam through example insha'Allah

amiin... but obviously if ur in a westeninze country u r going to do the bad things around you, as they say "TEMPTENTIONS", if we all lived in a holy country or wat not, things would be soo different....

That is true BB, of course things would be easier if we lived in a Muslim country. But if we act as Allah (swt) has told us, avoid temptation and follow prophet Mohammed's (sws) sunnah, we get more ajjar than the Muslims in Muslim countries because it obviously much harder for us i.e praying all the salaats on time, sisters walking down the street fully covered without being attacked or insulted,brothers growing their beards and wearing khamis without being labled a terrorist etc

tru... but isnt it also said that by livin in a cadaan country with temptations u get dembi even if ur not doing sin,

so even if people do pray and read quran and follow wat ALLAH (swt) says, as soon as they walk out side, there gettin sin, as soon as they turn on there t.v there gettin sin, and so on....
