I've gone over the stances of the 8 Candidates I've got up there, and have found a candidate to my liking and that actually makes sense. I would like to see your opinions on this.

Please give detailed reasons as to why you pick whoever you pick.

If I were an American citizen with the attendant right to vote, I'd be voting for Ron Paul.

This man has many points going for him. Firstly, he adamantly believes in small government conservatism, which is really the only way a government can function without sucking in taxes to support a self-perpetuating beauracracy. It more or less eliminates the cornyism, corruption, double-dealing, inefficiency, and overall uselessness of the whole 'spend spend spend' government.

He is adamant that the monetary policy of the United States needs to be reformed, to be more true to Constitutional Principles; the only entity charged with minting (not PRINTING) money is Congress, and the only legal tender being Gold and Silver. He hasn't gotten to the point of chucking the Federal Reserve out completely, but its a giant leap in the right direction.

He advocates the complete reworking of the Tax Code, and he completely does away with income tax. Goodbye to the Private Corporation that is the IRS. Small government doesn't need all those taxes, does it? Coupled with monetary and banking reform, this will go a long way to getting the American Middle Class of the life support it seems to be on.

He is different from the neo-Conservative excrement in what was the Republian Party in that he is not a gun-ho interventionist, as the Founding Fathers invisioned, and he does not favour one particular country over another, which followes another of the Founding Fathers warnings. He correctly notes that the US faced down the Soviet Union with all those thousands of Nuclear weapons, but now it seems to be having heart palpatations over a Third World country with a threadbare army and no nukes to speak of.

This guy is got it on the head! Smack any terrorists who might get it into their heads to blow stuff up to get their points across, but don't start Imperial adventures one can ill afford or are equipped to deal with.

All up, his is the kind of thinking to restore America to its usual position of Universal acclaim.

Why you would like any manner of Democrat, let alone Obama, is puzzling! The only decent one of the bunch was Cynthia McKinney, and she was run out of Congress!

Tell me, does his nauseatingly pro-Israel stance make him attractive? Or his opposition to a Palestinian unity government composed of Hamas and Fatah? What about his ardent support for greater restrictions on Iran, and his support for any armed intervention in the country. Does pro-Israel, pro-War, anti-Palestinian Unity make this man suitable?

What of his outrageous spending on the tax holes of Education, the American health system which is really Corporate Welfare? Does that make him a good candidate?

Explain yourselves, instead of giving me the 'I like Barack Obama, but critical study of his policies and stance is beyond me' approach.

Padisah,

I am deeply disappointed in the Democrats for failing to be an effective oppostion on issues such as Iraq, the Patriot Act etc.

I am voting with the smaller minor parties because they fit my views more. I can't stand Hillary for her anti Palestinian stand not to mention she is the wife of Clinton, a man who lead to the deaths of 13,000 Somalis in UNOSOM II. Obama is a nice chap but he offers very little of substance. In general, I am upset at the Dems.

I used to be a Republican until they became the party of big government, lost their fiscal discipline and started getting involved in foreign campaigns where there was no clear US interest.

Cynthia McKinney was a decent politician. I also admire men like Ted Kennedy who has served as a tough opposition figure & failed to vote for the Iraq war & patriot act. Dennis Kuicinich that you did not list has been a vocal opponent of the Iraq war and was the only 1 Dem who was in Congress during Iraq vote who is running for Prez.

Over all, the choices are stark: Guiliani vs. Clinton. It is a choice I am not willing to take and will probably write in a minor party candidate rather than endorse one of these two horrible choices for a Muslim-AMerican.
