Me personally I don't want to take knowledge from anyone who doesn't give the physical jihad the status it deserves when Qur'an and dozens of sahiih hadiiths tell us it's the peak of Islam and the best act after believing in Allah and also greatest cibaada with greatest rewards. This is the area where I make my conclusions about some scholar, because how they think of jihad tells so much more about their caqiida and the way how they see the world.

why are you in the west if you only listen to jihadi sheikhs? or, you r waiting your call from al zuweihiri to blow up trains, nighclubs and schools? go to chejnia, irak or palestine if you are real, or mislead those lamagodley dudes and snitch them cause you can only work for homeland security.

Zawahiri is not my sheikh and I don't agree with many things he says although I agree with something. Other extreme are these people who denounce the religion of Muhammad (scws) and sahaba and want to make it more modern aka more close to kufr. I'm in the middle and try to follow the sunna. Usually scholars view on jihad is a way to know his caqiidah. It could be very radical or very soft and both of these views are the views of the dangerous extremists.

Only a jaahil/munaafiq would deny the importance and high status of jihad in Islam and making fun about some essential part of religion is kufr.

I live in west working for my own money. I'm also not planning to live here forever, when my children grow up old enough to go to school is the latest I need to move out from here. So what is your opinion? That because we live in the west we need to become christians or atheists? This is what it seems judging from every single of your posts.

If you don't think that jihad is one of the most important parts of religion just pick up Qur'an and Bukhari and Muslim and read. There are propably thousands of hadiiths talking about it, so you are going to skip them and take your own opinion? Lack of jihad is also the reason why muslims are humiliated and it will go on until muslims take up jihad and this is also told in many authentic ahadiith. Do you want me to post some of them?

can you be less ambiguous here?

Are you referring to the view Hamza Yusef took on 'Islam and terrorism' emphasising '"Islam has been hijacked by a discourse of anger and a rhetoric of rage." ?
there was alot of discussions on this but your the first I'v heard to call the Shaykh a 'kufir' .. difference of opinion concerning interpretation is unique characteristic of Islam, its how we develop our understanding of the diin.
Jihad is interpreted different, always has been, some say that Prophet (sws) regarded the spiritual jihad as greater then physical, otherwise is argued too, some even say physical jihad is invalid in the absence of a Islamic state and khalifa, becasue the classical manuals of Islamic jurisprudence, the rules associated with armed warfare are not followed.
Jihad--'by the heart, the tongue, the hand, or the sword'
Physical jihad is seen as weaker/lesser compared to the naf/spiritual jihad, especially in the teachings of Sufism, and its ago long debate nothing modern about it.

It means that one fully exerts himself and struggles with himself to serve his Lord, as well as to perfect his interaction with others. I think your holding the fact that this Shaykh is Western and applys his cilmi to Western issues against him, helping Western Muslim evolve and progress, calling him ‘modern’ like its an insult.
