So you go to some school/college or uni event and happen to meet a girl called sarah and for the brothers here just say you meet a guy called 'david'.

You get on with them and you think wow I thought they'd be a snob and stuck up etc.

You then realise their character is good and fall into conversations other than food, films and into politics and religion, more stimulating conversation and your even more baffed as to how good you get on with them and able to talk to them on a high level and about more important issues.

To them your obviously a Muslim with the hijaab or the fist length beard, they obviously had good character and didn't think damn you a Muslim! I better go.

Then they mention they Jewish.......

1. Do you say 'allow that, I don't want to talk to no israeli, they may curse me with something'..?
2. You think past their religion and carry on talking?
3. Other....(please state)

[ There's a reason for this topic not only to see what mentality's we have, attitudes but also how much you know about deenta and maybe to correct/educate your of you lack of knowledge]

Yeh walaalo, exactly. We have to show them we are Muslims with good characters. That is what the sahabah would show when giving da'wah to non Muslims.

But have you never thought to make some friendship(to certaine extent). You know eveyrone gets exposed to Islam once int heir lifetime, so that they can't say to our creator 'ohhh we never got told etc'. It is obligatory on us to give da'wah effectively to give them more interest in Islam. Maybe starting with tawheed about the oness of God etc.

Next time you come across a non-Muslim, give them da'wah effectively.

We are people of limited knowledge, we are not muftis to declare this is halal or haraam,especially if it is not state dint he qur'an or not displayed in the sunnah or saheeh hadith.

Why would it be haram horta to talk to a Jew?

You maybe keep your distance, careful on your approach as to how you tell them about Islam etc.

What makes a Jew worse than a Christian. Would you not think hindus are the worst who commit shirk by worshippng animals and could you not argue that Jews at least acknowledge that their is God and beleive in the prophet Musa alayhi Salaam.

Or could we not argue that atheiests are the worst who don't even believe in a creator, believe in nothing! Allahu Allem, but we should only know that as Muslim we should spread the deen.

I understand how you can say that sister as I use to be grossed out by Jews before I started to practice, but just showed my ignorance and lack of being open minded and having the wrong logic to it all.

walal dont be fooled, i went to this pro-israeli debate at uni just to see wot they're really like. the speaker was an ambassador and these people hate muslims like they were diseased. Everything wrong that happens to them they blame it on everybody else but themselves. First i thought she was talking nonsense cos of israel's hawkish foreign policy but what really suprised me is that everytime she justified something like the wall and settlements, all the jewish students cheered and clapped
to cut story short only reason why theres so many people jumping on bandwagons against jews is not because of lack of knowledge but knowledge itself...
