My Awowe Introduced Clothing to Eyl
Yep, its true. He owned several stores in Eyl where he used to trade with the natives.
Before that the Eyl natives, used to wear animal hides.
God Bless Awowe for introducing clothes to the natives of Eyl.

Then why do they claim civilization and kingdom if they were hunters and gatherers?

Luugoyo,
Cuz its all fiction. Their insecurities cause them to boast and gloat over things.
Do we see the Ajuurans boasting about their Empire, probably the most powerful in Somali history ???

Ub,
My Awowe was there to trade with the natives.
He was there to make money and add a bit of civilization to the lives of the hunter and gather primitive natives.
U should have seen how MATCH sticks took Eyl by storm

A/Wahab,
Actually I would love to see Ajuran recounting the history of their empire, but they are too modest to boast and brag.

It could have been an old town with naked peeps
it is a possibility, considering what I watch on Discovery Channel

Sir luggoyo
The Ajuuraan can't boast because there are like 16 of them left on planet earth.
AW
Paranoia and illusions are a good way with dealing with the past.
The first step to transfering kenadiid to your awoowe who were teaching the locals how to act eh? Next step... The habar gidr kingdom of Jimcaale Roobleh of 1772?

Lol I remember my grandma right now. My grandma is Wagardhac and her reer abti are Habar Gidir (Saleban) and the reer abti of her dad are Habar Gidir (Sacad) and every time she saw me with shorts and tank top she used to say "war dadkuna wuu ilbaxay, dhar yaana la xirtay adiguna sidii reer abtigeygi qaar qaawanaa ee haraga inta kale u xirneyd yaad u ekaatay".
