Google joins fight against student plagiarism

The world's largest search engine, Google, is to ban adverts from companies that offer essay-writing services.

The internet firm has written to companies that sell essays and dissertations online informing them of the ban, which is due to come into force next month.

The move was immediately welcomed by universities, which are keen to root out student cheats.

Prof Drummond Bone, the president of Universities UK (UUK), which represents vice-chancellors, said: "Making life harder for these cynical web 'essay mills' is a step in the right direction."

yeah universities use a software called turntin, finds any unsources plagirism in you work, people at uni actually had to start doing work.

Yeah I Know But Then Google is the only search engine that Have relevant resources of informations U needed enable to do ur work, I think people mis-use the site..that sucks! withouT I dont Know how to cope the work at uni Lets protest

i c, will the google scholar search still be there?, either way most of the stuff on the net is useless and is not relavant to exactley what you need, best thing is try the meta lib journal searches, finds exactley what ur after

yeeeeh meta lib journal is my cuppa teaaa.. baan ku idhi...laakin the google schlar has hardley any journals to do with radiation physics its no help to me wat so ever..laakin thers baare out there......
