Axmed Cumar Jees is a dignified leader who is a true nationalist. Remember how back in 1980s, 60% of Somali national army and army officers were Ogaadeen and Qaybta 26 was loaded with Ogaadeen commanders and army units. Prior to the destruction of Hargaiza, colonel Axmed Cumar Jees summoned all the Absame officers and ordered them not to take part any Hargaiaa offence by Afwayne. According to the scripts of his speech, he said that Isaaqs were closer to him than Ilka-Yars from Caabdu-Waaq and Afwayne administration. That meeting was very secret and confidential and came to be known only when some officers recorded it. Over 100 Absame officers attended that meeting including various colonels and majors.

I am working posting a video of that meeting once I get it from an uncle of mine, who takes care of it as though it is a precious rhombus. And then there was the Tuur-Jees-Caydiid meeting where the three decided to work together to conquer the corrupt and brutal Afwayne government. Jees moved his troops to J/Hoose and J/Dhexe and liberated the entire South Somalia including Bay, Bakool, J/hoose, J/Dhexe, Gedo and Sh/Hoose. The Afwayne mercenaries were beaten so bad in every single battle including the famous Balidoogle battle where the SPM fighters bravely fought with Afwayne troops for three continues days. SPM captured Balidoogle with 10 operational fighter jets.

The biggest mistake Jees made was to trust the advancing USC militias who at the time had no control structure. Caydiid never knew that SPM fighters were attacked by USC militias. The Ilka-Fabricated story of Jees asking Ilka-Yars for protection is baseless and fictitious Walaahay because Jees had enough troops and weapons to even capture Afwayne when he left Afgooye back to the Jubooyinka. My uncle who was with Jees at the time would laugh at you because the SPM had most of their artilleries and armies when they got back. Ilka-Yars were beaten, confused and crushed refugees who didn’t even know where the hell they were. How can someone like that give protection to one of the biggest powers of Somalia at the time?

Funny you say that because Maxamed, as a friend of Siad Barre, is the one who brought his brother Caasho Caydiid (gabadhii Caydiid dhaxlay) as a geeljire to Xamar and asked Siad Barre to give Caasho Caydiid (gabadhii Caydiid dhaxlay) a job.

At least maxamed was educated guy. The guy was highly educated in ARabic. his original school teacher was Sheekh Cali Suufi who had schools in Ogaadeeniya and Somalia. Then when he finished teaching him and many others he got them scholarships to Egypt. Whenever an Arab dignitary came to Xamar, Maxamed Cumar Jees was in charge of their hospitality.
