Vatican exorcist says Devil hates Latin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Source: Religion and Spirituality.com

Nothing rankles demons more than prayers in Latin, according to a new book about exorcism. "The devil doesn't like Latin," writes Tracy Wilkinson in "The Vatican's Exorcists" (Grand Central Publishing).
"That is one of the first things I learned from Father Gabriele Amorth, long known as Rome's chief exorcist, even though that has never been his formal title. Now past the age of eighty, Father Amorth has dedicated the last decades of his life to regaining a measure of respectability for exorcism. Despite his advancing age, he continues to perform the rite several times a week at his office in Rome," Wilkinson writes, quoted by SpiritDaily.com in a story posted Wednesday.
"He prefers to use Latin when he conducts exorcisms, he says, because it is most effective in challenging the devil." Meanwhile Pope Benedict XVI is is attempting to revive the Latin Mass.
The book is a secular-oriented and sometimes skeptical glimpse into the world of Catholic priests who see their calling as casting out demons. Although rare in Canada, France, and the United States, exorcists are growing in the Vatican. In Italy the number of exorcists has grown tenfold in the past decade, according to Amorth, who authored two bestsellers, An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories. Credit is also due to the legacy of John Paul II, who made exorcism respectable again.
A review in eBookexpress.com says, "In The Vatican's Exorcists, award-winning foreign correspondent Tracy Wilkinson reveals how 'devil detox' has become an industry, complete with motivational speakers, international conventions, and plenty of controversy. She introduces us to Father Gabriele Amorth, the energetic octogenarian who has led a campaign to reestablish exorcism as a regularly practiced—and respected—rite. And based on her extensive interviews with Amorth, Church officials, scientists, and lay Catholics—as well as on the exorcism she witnessed herself—Wilkinson shows how modern exorcisms are performed and the impact they are having."

Yeah, he hates Latin. Worse yet, he's a Yankees fan.
Re: Vatican exorcist says Devil hates Latin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would he hate Latin.......that's the language by which mankind's biggest hoax (Jesus is the son of God) is propagated daily through obscure rituals and incantations Jesus never ordained.

Gedo Boy
And all this time I thought the biggest Hoax was that Mohammed was a Prophet and the Qur'an was worth more than the paper it is printed on. OK, fair enough, Christianity has a bigger following..............
They are both shit.

^^^ witty comeback.
So, I take it you haven't yet come to grips with the fact that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger?

There is no God but Allah, and Mohammed was a Charleton and a liar who understood less about God and the world we live in than I do.
Re: Vatican exorcist says Devil hates Latin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
come on man!
one day you give him credit for being so brilliant "Machiavellian before Machiavelli" and the next day you say he didn't understand the world. Muhammad is
MAD MAC,
Let's pretend Muhammad forged the Quran....forget that it was an unparallelled literary masterpiece even among Arab poets who had a complete command of the Arabic language...forget about beleifs and faith for a minute.......how does the Quran give insight into scientific facts with no error........whether it's talking about embryology, helio-centric orbit, or the structure of mountains......the Quran has not been assailed from a scientific perspective whereas the Bible is riddled with errors.......not because Jesus didn't have a Scripture, but that today's Bible is a 2-3 language-removed introspection by someone who saw someone who thought he might have seen Jesus................in his dreams.
Muhammad predicted that Islam would spread to wherever night and day reach and he was right b/c in my short lifetime I have been in the same room as a Taiwaneese, Korean, African American, Hispanic, white, Arab and AFrican Muslims, some converted some born Muslim. Very ambitious for a desert-locked unlettered bedouin. How ironic

Here we go again. The same tired, worn out arguments used by the Mormons to defend Joseph Smith. I want to puke.
Obviously he was copying the Jewish idea. OBVIOUSLY. I would bet he was in cohoots with others, and that that was well concealed. But it was all about power and pus$y - the two things most likely to get anyone in trouble.
IF the Qur'an was real, where is the Chinese version? Was it corrupted? If so, where is the corrupted version? Where is the American Indian Version? How about the Pacific Islanders version? How about the Thai or Laotian or Vietnamese or Viking Version???? God's message was only important to a bunch of focking loser rag-heads in the desert? And if God protected the Qur'an after Mohammed, why the fock didn't he protect it when Abraham supposedly introduced it? IT was important to protect it at the time of Mohammed but not at the time of Abraham? God's laws were important for the focking Arabs but not for the Incas????
Hey you want to believe in fairy tales and Santa Claus, have at it. But don't try and sell this nonsense to me. It's utter and complete bullshit.

As for the other nations, hundreds, even thousands of prophets were sent to prior nations but over time things became distorted. For all we know COnfucious might have been a prophet from God and his teachings.........in destroyed generations, you have to assume we don't know (say) 95% of them or what really made them work.
The Quran, being the final revelation was:
1. Preserved from any questions of message integrity.
2. Addressed to the whole world.

Gedo
I like ya kid, but you are ratinalizing here and it's pathetic.
We know close enough what confucious said. It will never be mistaken for a currupted Qur'an.
In fact, aside from the Torah and the Bible (what a conincidence huh?) NO DOCUMENT will be mistaken for a corrupted Qur'an.
"As for the other nations, hundreds, even thousands of prophets were sent to prior nations but over time things became distorted."
This is such a riduclous concept, it is hardly worth mentioning. But outside of the Arabian peninsula, you will find NOTHING that remotely resembles the Christian-Judeo culture. NOTHING.

Why would I assume such a thing? Much of what he said is well documented. You WANT to assume that, because it fits your world view. But such a view has no legitimate, historical support.
The Quran, being the final revelation was:
1. Preserved from any questions of message integrity.
Bullshit. There were, in fact, different version, but they were destroyed during the first four Caliphates. On top of this, you fail to address the basic issue. Why did God fail to preserve this oh so important message when he first revealed it??? Why wait until Mohammed comes along?
2. Addressed to the whole world.
Then why not address it in all the worlds languages? Why not make sure everyone gets it at the same time? In fact, why not ensure that as humans were first created, the message were already available? Was it suddenly important in 7th century Arabia, but not important in 3,000 BC Egypt???
It is bullshit. It's all bullshit. You are being suckered.
