Somali Funerals

Somali funerals always seem to get hijacked by these akhwaan dudes who critique the hired Wadaad during the burial or seem to want to create a PARALLEL service (the hired Wadaad finishes and the akhwan dude steps up to start a parallel speech)/

I am getting tired of these uninvited akhwaan wadaad isku sheeg. Why can't they keep their mouths shut and be like the rest of the mourners.

A/Wahab,

Are you sure you do Siyaro?

Cause last I checked ppl were going to the graves of their religious ancestors and I am not sure if there are any Sacad religious leaders dead or alive. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Eyes,

U are just sullying Siyaaros. Ain't fair to make cheap shots at them.

SirLuugoyo,

I attend one Xuus every year. Last year was tampered by these good for nothing supporters of the UIC. They refused the qaaran and made a fuss about it. I can't believe the nerve of these people who not only become qaarandiid but also have the cajoles to insult our beloved Xuus.

I still can't believe the UIC wrecked the grave of an important Sheik from Barawe:

A/Wahab,

You sound like the legendary Abgaal dude (absolutely no religious background) who came to meel xuska nabiga (ASW) lagu sameynayo, dadkii bannanka joogay ayuu warsaday meesha waxa xoolaha loogu qalaayo, mid kale oon asaga dhaamin ayaa yiri "Ar beriga Maxamedaa la xusaa.

The Abgaal dude (realizing a chance of abundant meat) started crying profusely b4 he even entered the house and couldn't be contained, finally, when everybody was baffled by the bitter grief this man has suffered, they asked him why was he touched so badly. He replied. "Aryaa igaarka Maxamed isku loox aan eheen" Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Warya u got a lot of Rer Mudug kaftaan. Are u sure u ain't from there ?

But what is wrong with throwing a Xuus ? There is always good food, ample time to network with Beesha and time to honor our dead.

Nope, no reer Mudug in my blood, but I love the jokes made of reer Mudug, they are always hilarious, like the fact that they sell hilib iyo caano in movie theaters instead of peanuts and candies, and they stop the film at 9:00 sharp for BBC news and then resume afterwards Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Abdi, we still hold xus but it is strictly to say prayers for our dead relatives and give out charity on their behalf....we don't do it on their death anniversaries or whatever you call it.
My granddad was a big sheikh but my family stopped the siyaaro and big xus, dikri that they used to hold once they found out it was shirk.

I say instead of paying some wadaado to do dikri for your dead relatives and showing off your wealth by having the biggest feast in town, to give away charity, build mosques, schools and help the poor on behalf of your relatives.

SirLuugoyo,

I love Rer Mudug people. They are very simple folks who let u know where u stand. You can poke fun at them, insult them and they don't get pissed off.

Did u hear the story of the Rer Xamar Dude who ordered some hilib and muufo in a Galkacyo restaurant ?

Eyes,

Why did u stop ? I only attend the Xuuska Cabdallah iyo Cawarere. Back home, it was a big occasion and we used it to honor them & to have a Annual General Meeting of Sacad, inc. Shareholders.

AbdiWahab252, I am curious about sheekh Cabdallah iyo Cawarere. When were they alive, and what miracles did they perform?

'Grave Worshipper' is a phrase used only by Wahhabi Cultist filth, and as a rabid ICU worshipper, I'm not suprised Eyes-Only. Do us a favour, and take your deviancy to Saudi Arabia, where its misery seems to be welcome.
