Pregnant Somali Woman Commits Suicide

JEDDAH, 9 June 2007 — Police are investigating the death of a pregnant Somali woman, whose body was found in a street opposite an old apartment bloc in the Dakik neighborhood of Jeddah, according to Al-Madinah newspaper.

Police, having received a telephone call from a member of the public, cordoned off the area where the young woman’s body was found in order to collect evidence.

The woman, aged in her 20s, is thought to have been experiencing some domestic problems with her husband, also a Somali national, who she had secretly married without her family’s knowledge.

No one knew about the marriage except for the woman’s sister, said police, adding that the woman was trying to contact her husband, who did not want anything to do with her.

A female resident of the building in front of which the body was found said she heard a man speaking tensely on the telephone.

She also added that she heard a man in a nearby apartment talking about how a woman had killed herself outside and that she saw some men running away before the police arrived.

having enough experience in crimminal justice and years of staying loyal to CSI, This is not a suicide case, , more like a first-degree murder, with the prime suspect being non-other then the "husband", notice how some one described a person running away from the crime scene and refer back to the article where the "husband" strongly denies any connection or to be part of the child life. The last crucial blow to this murder case is how the killer thought it was a secret relationship between him and her not fully grasping the scenerio that she might of told someone close to her i.e ( sister ).

i'd have doubts about wether or not this was a suicide, but at the same time, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
