Too many instances of Somali folks who decide to marry Ajanabi and tell everyone that he/she converted to Islam.

Some take it a little step further and dress the Ajanabi in a khamiis, take him to the Masjiid for the nikaax.

Why do those folks do it ? Why go through the hypocrisy ?

you making it sound as if all somalis who marry ajanabi are lying about their other half been muslim. there is some truth in what you are saying but there are those who have converted to Islam, but at the end of the day the judgement is for Allah.


and as for those that lie; well, if they have fallen head over heels for ajanabi and the only way they can be accepted is to pretend they are muslim, then so be it. thats between them and Allah. after all, its not like we have x-ray eyes that can see through the heart of the next person.

what if the gaal is the decieving one. i know this danish dude who married a somali girl under false pretence. he told her he coverted, xitaa waliba masjidka buu tagey, bacden when they got married and had a kid, wixii uu dhan buu hal habeen kalaabtey kuna yidhi inantii, i was never a muslim, i just did it to mary u..supposedly he fell head over heels in love with her and wouldn't leave her alone, so she used the "but u're a gaal" excuse to get rid of him.

calaakuli xaal, way iksa fasaqdey laakin she's devested dee, coz now she wonders if her son was born garac waayo gaal(in the closet) nikaaxiisa miyaa xalaal? and she thinks that totaly negates the marraige.

This Ethiopian guy comes to me the other day, telling me he's from another state and shyte and had somalis friends , blahblahblah.
Then he tells me about this girl he was in love with , who wouldn't associate with him unless he converts to Islam.I was like" Okaaaaaay!!"
Then he recites the fataha , to show me that he really did convert , but at the end of the story he goes
" Aaah , she was really fantastic , she also smoked weed, but HEY never alcohol!!!

Who are we to judge others? If some1 says they are muslim then take their word 4 it as said previously its between them and Allah. True reverts often put born muslims to shame anyway. They appreciate the deen alot more, strive for more knowledge and practise it beta alhamdulilah. So if a somali girl marries a revert and her family r okay with it then good luck 2 them.

Although not sure about them reverting just to marry the girl thats different.
