more women than men in hell?

my dear sisters, i just want to remind you

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them.
If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you." Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 28 .

But this doesnt means that all women are excluded from paradise or its rewards.Quran mentions the presence of Hoor ul ain(beautiful virgins) in surah Nisa.
The Qur'an says, "But those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds We shall bring into gardens through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time; there shall they have spouses pure: and [thus] We shall bring them unto happiness abounding." [Al-Nisa, 4:57]

ungratefulness is the key, we are ordered to be greatful, if you're not grateful to human you wont be grateful to the God. Women in general happens to forget all the good things if once they faces hard time. Allah ha o sahlo.lol

It was a shock for me to hear mostly women will populate Hell. I always thought women would be somehow compensated, because men lead easier lives than women by default from the cradle to the grave.

Well, guess not.

The men our prophet CSWS is talking about are those husbands who were treating their wives according to our precious religion...Not those who are looking for a single mother in which they can drink the milk of the children which the welfare agency supplied... Those lazy guys that want their wives to be the bread winner of the house and the wife of the house...

Having said that, If I hate some one, it would be the ungrateful one. I just can't stand people who are ungrateful and I am not surprised that their place in Akhira is the hell...

It's actions or deeds that count. There are many people who are good deep down, but aren't involved in good actions or deeds.
