American/Ethiopians is seeking Somaliland to lead Somalia

According to Al-Khaleej which is based in the United Arab Emirates, the talks are being sponsored by Ethiopian and American diplomats in an attempt to convince Somaliland to accept re-joining Somalia under new favourable terms to be guaranteed by both Addis Ababa and Washington.

"Talks involving Somaliland leaders and Ethiopian and American officials are under way to discuss the details of a plan for re-unification of Somaliland with other regions of Somalia," Al-Khaleej said.



According to sources close to the discussions, Somaliland has been offered a strong commitment by the two sponsoring nations to guarantee the terms of any deal reached on the re-unification issue, Al-Khaleej added.



Somaliland’s Foreign Minister, Abdullahi Mohamed Du’ale, is currently in Addis Ababa. He left Hargeysa about a month ago to an undisclosed destination. The Somaliland government has placed a news blackout on Mr Duale’s whereabouts."




Conditions

1.American/Ethiopians to get ride of TFG...especially top leaders, Abdullahi Yusuf, Geedi, Morgan, other notable warlords.

2.Make Riyal the president or anyone who wins 08 Somaliland election.

3.Appoint Somaliland parlimentary officials as ministers, representatives, ambassadors.

4.Make Hargeysa the official capital.

5.Anything that comes out of Somaliland soil stays in Somaliland atleast 90% of it if not all.

6.A future date should be set for Somalilanders to hold referendum on inpendence... 10 years perhaps.

7.A 2 year time line should be given rest of Somalia to get its act together...if they can't Somaliland should automatically be recognized.

8.Ethiopians and African should leave the country.

9.Every region should be allowed to implement its own laws as long as they are reasonable..


10.Open up dialogue with anyone UIC who wants to live in peace..include them in the political system. Its better to have them involved in politics than more corrupted warlords.


11.Get ride of the blue flag and instead replace it with new flag, a flag with more Islamic identity.

Why make Hargeysa the capital? I am opposed to that!!
Why replace the blue flag?? I am opposed to it too!!
I would in other circumstances be opposed to proposition No7 , but if it is only designed to reassure the Isaaq they have to be prepared to make concessions on the number of minsters and ambassadors they want

Why make Hargeysa the capital? Because Somalilanders will never be ruled from Mogadishu or anywhere outside Somaliland again.

Why replace the blue flag?? This flag is dead and should have been buried with Sayid Barre regime. If there is ever going to be unite there should be new flag.

If nothing changes in the South why shouldn't Somaliland breakaway without any questions asked.

Ishaak can't lead somalis, never in a million years. Only fair and honest people should run Somalia. Not the current leaders in Somaliland, TFG or Puntland.
