Stories about the civil war back home...

If you have any stories about your family, during the civil war and what not, like maybe how they got out etc......Many of us were all affected similar ways...Family members killed, lost businesses, Properties, alot of money also spent to bring family to north america and Uk respectively.....So if you have any stories (Sad, Surviva, etc...) please share them!

The story of my awoowe.....Basically his brother was just murdered inside a masjid in xamar.. and at another masjid my awoowe was the keeper, so he would wake up every morning to do the adaan and open up the masjid........so the people that wanted to kill him obviously for no reason besides Qaabil decided that the only way they could do so was in the morning when he was coming to open up the masjid......so some other people who were religious but had ties to the gunmen, warned him of the attack and told him not to go back home......so they got him somewhere to stay....and he left early that morning and he walked from Xamar to Kismaayo and from Kismaayo to Northern Kenya where he ended up getting help and staying with family down in Nairobi..

True story, his feet and legs were sooooo Bruised, Cut up and Swollen from days of walking.....Subhanallah!
