Very Good article against the BBC on Somaliweyn

Post by Cilmiile »

Boobe Yuusuf Ducaale, the biographer Cabdilaahi Suldaan Timacadde, is taking the heavy guns of his stylish Somali to BBC under Yuusuf Garaad. He also mocks the Samatar Brothers mercilessly.

Good read. It is in two installments. And more to come.

Read and enjoy.

Btw, why are Ilma Yuusuf Ducaale so anti-Aadan Cadde? Because Axmed Yuusuf Ducalle was sacked by the PM of Aadan Cadde?

Inquiring minds want to know

Most of the Somali articles posted on the net are poorly written, the English ones are mostly pompous crap, but every now and again you find a few golden nuggets. This is very good read.

His unglossed allusions to Somali folk tales are a treat. The one he ends the second article is priceless. It was by a Garxajis Jaajaale called Dhallin Ileeye. Haddaan karintaa laga guurin Goroyo heeryaysani inay ka soo bixi was a warning that came true. Someone came up with the idea of using ostrich as a burden beast. He loaded the ostrich but the rains came and he housed them in huts to protect his goods. After a while the rains became so heavy that the ostriches panicked and fled. And everywhere people saw loaded Ostriches coming at them. And Dhalin Ileeye the fool gained prestige as a possessor Garabdaar( sixth sense)
