Arranged marriages?

We all have witnessed people through this method whether it has worked for them or not...

I just can't get my mind around the 'arranged' thing and find the whole idea so horrid..

what are your thoughts on this subject?

In a prudential light, arranged marriage worked for me.In hindsight, i was outraged in the beginning, but since i was a 'Baari' daughter--- i ended up gaining alot.HE turned out to be amazing and fortunately -- i got all the duas from my parents. Laughing

It saves you all that unnecessary time you would have spent wooing someone......rarely is anyone forced to marry someone they do not like in Somalia....except in Baadiyaha......even there it happens very rarely.
