A time of waiting national Reconciliation Conference, the transitional president of Somalia Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, a former Majerten sub clan warlord is busy on attracting the politicians and the elders of Abgal Sub clan of Hawiye in a bid to stay the palace even after the End of his Term.
President Yusuf favored his Majarten Long allied abgal sub clan of hawiye which Historically shared with Majerten sub clan of Darood with nine years of Civil Governments after the independence of the Country.
This strategy seems to be intended to get rid off the Habargadir sub clan of hawiye that enjoyed 16 years being the hawiye Most powerful family after the fall of the Central government ousted by late General Mohamed Farah Aideed, who was a habargidir Fighter and Hawiye Activist Also yusuf's Agenda of allying with Abgal is to drive out the Portal City Kismayo the Marehan subclan of Darood which is a military strong Clan according to the Southern Darood Sub clans, analysts indicate that Yusuf is trying to take revenge against the Marehan that the Somali former dictator Mohamed Said Barre Belonged to, and chased out of Kismayo his clansmen 8 years ago after inter Darood fighting erupted in 1999.
Both Marehan and Habargidir share a common culture since the rural community of the two sub clans inhabit the Central regions of Somalia, a regions Produced most of Somalia presidents, freedom fighters and respected brave men.
Most of Habargidir elders and political figures boycotted the Conference and demanded to transfer the Conference in to neutral Country or pull the Ethiopian Troops out of the Country l which is now under occupation.
The Head of the Committee to Chair The Conference Ali Mahdi Mohamed who is an Abgal Politician indicates those who boycotted the Conference the Remnants of the islamists, a remarks he blamed the Habargidr of undermining the reconciliation Process.
The Marehan in Kismayo ironically accepted the Conference and called political issues to be tabled; wagausub observes that a low profile Marehan Delegation was Selected to go to Muqdisho after Ethiopian Officers put Pressure on the Clan which resides a large land in the Border of Ethiopia.
