I came to this conclusion
So I finally asked the imaam of my local mosque about expanding the spacing given to the female prayer attendees. I swear, the space literally can not occupy more than 40 individuals at a time. Well, the man plainly said that thats all the available space for females and we should just stay at home and pray there. I sometimes, just like going there and listening to the muxadara, is that a crime or are women in his views just taking up more space in this world.
I'm utterly offended and mostly disappointed that such a responsible person in the Muslim community will speak of mentality. The space given to the male worshippers is plently and mostly is unused, so why cant he balance it as needed. Anyway, I'm writing to my local community organizations, including Women organizations so that each Mosque in the area will have a woman who manages and maintains the women's section of the Mosques and its needs.

Ismahan,
Women are exempted from requirement of praying in the mosque, they are allowed to pray at home whereas it's encouraged for men, actually mandated to pray in the mosque as long as they can hear the Muezzin, so why take space from someone who is required to be there?
Take a chill pill and abaay Xaawo Allaha kugu xiriiriyo, or abaaydaa Faadumo u dhowaaw as my great aunt would say

Re: I came to this conclusion
People,
I dont have a problem with praying at home, in fact I know its better for me if I do it there. On most evenings or fridays, there is muxadars that take place and most of us women would like to attend and ask questions. Its not that I dont know men need to space more than us or what not. Thats besides the fact, I dont understand, why for a mosque that is mostly empty and have enough space can not accomidate more than 40 women, when it can for over 200 men.
Does that sound logical and fair to you folks.

I understand what you are saying laakin going to kafirs for help will not solve anything. Adress this problem to hooyooyinka. Wallahi they are more capable of fixing problems these days than the somali men.
Recently some somali wadaad got kicked out(he got a restraining order) of a mosque by some sick motherfocker who happened to be on the lease. So the somali women in the city raised thousands of dollars and opened a new mosque.

His answer was inappropriate, this is a sensitive subject he should have given you a better understanding.
The Masjid is place for the whole community, if space can be provided for all than there should be no discrimination, especially gender wise. If funding and government restricts aply then men get first priority.
But be greatful, there is a city about an hour from mine where women are denied to even come into a Masjid, religious interpretation, school of thought dispute.
Everytime I go down there, I have to pray in the most unusual places, its frustrating.
Btw is it a Somali Masjid?

According to the Shari'a its not required to have partition between men & women in the Masjid . ( Men & Women both are allowed to pray in the Mosque in the same Jama'ah . Men should be first lines behind the Imam , then children and then Women . This is the way muslims used to pray behind the Prophet --peace be upon him --He did not make or ask his companions to have a curtain or wall between the lines of men & women ) .
However , its very important that muslim women come to the Mosque wearing proper Islamic dress , She must cover her hair and neck with a scarf which should also go over her bosom .Her dress should be modest and loose enough in order not to reveal the shape of her body ,The reason partition were introduced in the Masjid later in the Islamic history was some Women began coming to the Masjid without proper Islamic dress .
Jama'ah means a congregation of people who are praying behind One Imam in continuous lines without any barrier or interruption , People who pray behind Imam they should either see the Imam or see those who are infront of them , If the Masjid was too small and people had to pray different levels or in different rooms to accommodate every person then this would be permissible because of necessity .If there is a concern that the lines of men and women will mix inside the Mosque , then there is no harm in putting a lower barrier , Only to demarcate the separate area for women , but women should not be put in a totally separate room in the Masjid , Unless there is a shortage of space and no other proper arrangement can be done for them .
anyway We all muslims go to the masjid to get close to our creator not any other reasom
