Dawladsade and Luqane, do you guys know the origin of the name Caabudwaaq? I ask this, cos there is an Ogaadeni sub-clan called Abudwaak and the two name sounds the sounds, maybe different spellings? did this OG sub-clan used to live there?

Lord Diplock, Marehan and Ogaden lived came from Central Somalia together I believe, and crossed the Jubba river at the same time. I believe Cabdudwaq was settled first by Ogaden.

Lord, cabudwaaq was settled first by Ogaden sub-clan of abudwaq, and the city used to be a place of worship, a religious city. The name means cabud= worship and waaq= allah. Waaq is also allah in the oromo lanuage, just like eebe is also allah for Somalis, or like god is also allah for english speaking people.
