And that Islam puts the financial burden of the family on the men.
But in 21st century Britain, with living costs soo high and we got rent, bills, taxes to pay.. not to mention food/clothes and your dad’s- cousin’s-son’s-god- knows-wat that you gotta send 100 dollars to.
Can women really afford to sit at home? And the family live on one salary??
Obviously most of you girls already work..so do i.
But picture the future…..you doing your 9-5 shift with 3 kids, plus a husband. (thats 4 kids) how would you cope?
And would you honestly stick your 6month old baby in a nursery just to go back to work..caadan style??
A baby needs a mother!!

The pros n cons.
1) Working women:
Will be financially independent…won’t need to rely on her husbands income or the dole. they could afford to spoil your kids…buy them anything they want.
But you can neglect your family for 1 or 2 days in the week maybe…but not for 5/7 days. and be a mother only on the weekends…that’s madness I think!
So best to work part-time.
2) Non-working women:
Can concentrate on her kids..spend a lot of time with them etc. but you’ll be broke always. husband has to pay for everything…what if he’s not on good enuff salary?
Plus money is one of the main reason couple’s spilt. constant argument about money can put lot of strain on a marriage.
This is the group that most Somali women are in at the moment.
And this where your “single mothers” group and your “Homeless fathers” group..come from.
You know how it goes….husband wasted the cayeed money…kids are left with no food..or nappies…she kicks him out …and he sleeps in the marfash.
