Its driving me crazy and broke!!!!!!!!!!!!! First it was the monthly Somali food fridays, then the Somali music CDs and now the huffers want Somali clothing. I cant afford it anymore. U start sharing with white people your culture, and if they like it you are bound to go broke just explaing different things to them, visually, hands on or what not. I'm talking about the people at my work, especially these Obese white females who think wearing a diirac is a great way to hide those stomach rolls. or how Somali bariis contain nutrient that are great for the skin, heck I'm somali and I didnt even know that. I'm done teaching them how to make the damn bariis, they just dont get it. All they know is how to make bariis cad on the streamer oven(I think thats what you call it).

Ok, it feels good to let it out!!

Now I'm done complaining.

my neighbours in my flat back in sydney were an elderly aussie couple,
pensioners i think,

when they discovered my mothers cooking, they were addicted
and not only to the food.

the man started wearing macawis around, even wearing outside
the women started wearing diric,

they even started listening to somali music
