The Ciidagale are the oldest Isaaq sultantes after the overthrow of theTol Jeclo King who ruled Isaaq at least since the 1500 and througout the war of Axmed Guray, King Dhugad was a Tol Jeclo. The last Toljeclo king nicknamed Dhuux Baraar for his exces was overthrown by a collision of Isaaq clans led by the Mullah Cabdi Ciise the father of Sultan Guuleed in 1686. Shortly after the various Isaaq clans agreed to crown the Mullah Cabdi Ciise as the new sultan , which he refused and forfeited for his first his son Guuleed a mere child in 1710. Up till 1730 Cabdi Ciise was the acting sultan.

After 50 years of Guuleed's sultante the Habar Yoonis spilt and 1790 declared their own sultante headed by the young Sultan Diiriye Sugulle, while the Ciidagale sultante ruled all Isaaqs till the 1900 the Habar yoonis had their own sultante and a period of war between the Ciidagale sultante and their allies ensued a fact which later cuased the killing of Sultaan Faarax of the Ciidagale by H.Y in 1810-1820 by a man named Dul Guduud of the Isxaaq.
